Neta Studio
Photo Session

Autostar brought the Neta U and Neta V, its first electric models, to Costa Rica. Before hitting the road across the region, they had their turn in front of the camera.

The context

A new electric vehicle in the Costa Rican market

Autostar brought the Neta brand to Costa Rica, with two versions: the Neta U and the Neta V. Before the vehicle hit the road, it needed its own visual material for all the advertising that was going to be produced across the region.

Ciudad Click handled the studio product photography session: the visual starting point of that campaign.

In the studio

Before the final shot

Photographing a vehicle isn't just about pointing the camera: it's about controlling every reflection on its bodywork. We built a set with directional lighting — large softboxes for the surfaces, colored backdrops for the silhouettes — and adjusted the light shot by shot for each version of the Neta.

Campaign lighting

Red, blue and a bodywork that reacts to light

With the same vehicle on the same set, we changed the color of the light to generate pieces with a different character: dramatic silhouettes built for campaign and social media, not for a catalog.

The two versions

One launch, two colors

Autostar needed material for both versions of the Neta from launch day. We photographed the blue and the mint green on the same set, with the same art direction.

Exterior detail

The design is told in the details

An important part of the session was the detail work: the logo, the nameplate lettering, the wheels, the charging port. Those are the shots that later get used for social media and smaller pieces, where the full vehicle doesn't always fit.

On the inside

Technology is part of the product too

The Neta comes with digital screens, steering wheel controls and a dashboard built for an electric vehicle. We documented that interior with the same attention to detail as the exterior.

Another screen, the same care

Every version, its own dashboard

The second unit we photographed had its own screen and interface. We repeated the same level of detail: wheel, controls and infotainment screen, shot by shot.

Beyond the photo

One account, several formats

The studio session was one piece within a broader body of work for Autostar: besides photography, we produced audiovisual pieces, developed promotional landing pages for their website, radio spots and event coverage for the client.

Impact

Results you can see

Neta U and Neta V, one session

Both versions photographed in studio with the same art direction, ready for regional advertising.

Different looks, one set

Clean catalog shots and dramatic campaign silhouettes, without ever moving the vehicle off the studio floor.

Material for every detail

Logo, wheels, interior and technology documented separately for social media and smaller pieces.

One campaign, several formats

The photography joined video, web, radio and event coverage for Autostar's launch.

Conclusion

The first image of a new car matters

Before anyone drives a Neta, they'll see it in a photo. That studio session was the foundation of all the visual material Autostar used to introduce its electric vehicle in Costa Rica.

And it was just one piece of a bigger job: the same account also included video, web, radio and event coverage.
