The context
A mission that also needs a face
Edunámica is a Costa Rican association that empowers highly talented young people — in sports, music, arts, technology, science and reading — through three areas that adjust to each person's stage of life: Talento, Academia and Bienestar Integral (Talent, Academics and Integral Wellbeing).
For its institutional communication and outreach campaigns, Edunámica needed portraits that showed the people behind that mission: its beneficiaries and the team that supports them every day.
The creative concept
Soy Edunámica, worn with pride
Instead of posed studio portraits, we proposed going out into each beneficiary's real environment — a garden, a staircase, a patio — and photographing them wearing the Soy Edunámica campaign t-shirt, in natural light. The idea: show people, not abstract beneficiaries.
Talent in action
Beyond the posed portrait
Part of the session also documented the beneficiaries' academic side: a teenager presenting his own science experiment, test tubes and colored balloons included. That kind of image shows, without needing to explain it, exactly what Edunámica helps unlock in each person.
The community
The group is a protagonist too
Much of what Edunámica builds happens in community. We also photographed beneficiaries in groups — the closeness, the play, the trust that shows in every gesture — because that's as real a part of the organization as any individual portrait.
The team behind it
A face for the people who make it possible, too
The production also included institutional portraits of Edunámica's team, wearing the organization's shirt, at their office in San Belén de Heredia. That material is used in internal communication, presentations to partners and donors, and on the organization's website.
Impact
Results you can see
Portraits with their own identity
Each beneficiary photographed in their own environment, wearing the Soy Edunámica t-shirt, with no stock-photo poses.
Talent, front and center
The session also documented the beneficiaries' academic and creative side, not just the posed portrait.
A team with its own face
Institutional portraits of the Edunámica team, individual and group, ready for internal and external communication.
Material for multiple channels
One single photo archive works for social media, the website, reports to partners, and enrollment campaigns.
Conclusion
Talent needs a face, too
Behind every one of Edunámica's work areas — Talento, Academia and Bienestar Integral — are people with names of their own: beneficiaries, and also the team that supports them. This photography production was that idea turned into image.
That's the kind of material we aim to deliver at Ciudad Click: content that represents what an organization truly is, ready to use on whatever channel it needs to show it on.
