The challenge

Replicate the success without copying the result

The original concept worked in Costa Rica because it felt Costa Rican. Replicating it in Guatemala with the same material would have been a mistake: the Guatemalan tattoo community has its own identity, its own visual language and its own cultural references.

The challenge was to adapt the concept, not clone it.

The adaptation

Mayan iconography. Own identity.

We worked with designs inspired by contemporary Mayan iconography, a visual palette with earthy tones and traditional textiles, and collaborated directly with STATTOOS at their Guatemala location.

The Ciudad Click team was compact — three people, filming entirely at a single location, multi-camera to maximize captured content — but the production maintained the same quality standards as the Costa Rican version.

The outcome

Coherent with the original. Authentic to Guatemala.

The resulting audiovisual material was recognizable as part of the same universe as the Costa Rican original, but spoke with its own identity. It was used in regional digital campaigns and validated our production model's adaptability across different markets.

Conclusion

True regional reach comes from respecting each market

Exporting a concept doesn't mean photocopying it. It means understanding what made it work and rebuilding it with the new market's materials.

That's adaptable production with judgment.
